In “LOVES Mystery – 1” we looked at why His Love for us is a mystery and how that mystery expands. In the episode of “LOVES Mystery” we dig into what this Amazing Love has done, is doing and why people struggle with it so strongly.
“I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, and in this way all Israel will be saved. As it is written: “The deliverer will come from Zion;he will turn godlessness away from Jacob. And this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins.” – Romans 11:25-27
Everything that happens happens because God allows it to happen, yes including stubbornness like that of Pharoh with regard to Moses and the Jews with regard to Jesus – here’s why:
The Jews were looking for a Messiah to take their physical problems away instead of their spiritual problems.
“The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” – 1 Corinthians 15:56-57
“Christ is the end of the law for All who believe” it tells us in Romans 10:4 and throughout the NT. But that doesn’t mean everyone will believe this because this puts His Love on a whole other playing field so to speak for 2 reasons:
1)No one would ever believe God could be that good – it’s Perfect Love, Mysterious Love and a mortal man can never hope to understand it only appreciate it. All your sins were taken away because All the law is finished when you have Faith that Christ sacrifice is Enough!
2)No one wants to hear that they are powerless – the high priest and the tax collector were always equal in Gods book. This is part of the reason why big ministers and priest are allowed to fall and fail so publicly – God has a way of humbling us.
Christ came to “heal the sick” – spiritually we are all sick until Jesus!
Christ came to “set the captive Free” – spiritually we are all captive to sin which is powered by law!
“and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” – Romans 3:24
